as you're aware, currently, our xp users dont have the ability to connect to a jl rep via the regular means of the amazing f5 feature. is this something that will be resolved? secondly, are there any other restrictions that they, the xp users have, as of now? TX

I will leave the details of responding to your question to JL Techs, but Microsoft has already phased out Support for Windows XP over a year ago see

as such it is vulnerable to viruses etc. you should definitely look into upgrading for your own benefit.

yes of that i am aware of. but we have a great security and virus program in place.. wanted to know in terms of the jl app in particular.

All functions of our software works on Windows XP or above including connecting to tech support via F5. But almost all IT dept will not allow XP to run without locking it down for fear of viruses. XP when locked down cannot run certain functions depending on how much is locked down. While in Windows Vista and above Microsoft has programmed it that certain stuff should continue to run even when locked down, for Windows XP these provisions were not added.

 

So to repeat, on an unlocked Windows XP machine everything will run fine, but on secured computers certain functions will stop working.
