To add an alert for a donor or parent you can go to the To-Do tab under Notes. Enter the description (1), date (2) and click on the New To-Do button (5).
You can also change the time of the alert (3) [For example enter 130p for 1:30 PM] or enter it a as a task without a reminder by removing the Set Reminder check.
When pressing New To-Do the To Do screen will open up. There you can choose type (Appointment, Task or Event) and priority level (High, Regular or Low) from the sidebar.
Click on update when done.
When the time of the reminder comes the following screen will pop-up. You have the option to snooze or dismiss the reminder. When snoozing you can choose for how long it should be snoozed. The reminder will pop up again after the time goes thru. If dismissed it will not alert this task anymore.
All tasks and reminder can be seen in the users calendar. To go to the Calendar choose Calendar from the Main Menu or press F4 on the keyboard.
