Email from JL

Question

I am trying to send an email directly from JL but I am obviously missing something. I looked up a record see his email address but can figure out how to send it short of copying and pasting into my email program. I did goto administration and set up an emai account. That went thru and says I set up successfully but I still don't know how to proceed

I do see that I received an email from the system so that tells me I did set it up right but still need to know how to send individual emails

You click on the envelope button next to the email address.
