This post is written in detail so please read the post in its entirety before contacting support. (Don't forget to read the tips section at the bottom)
Always test your email prior to sending!!

We are going to break this post into 3 parts.

  1. Embedding an ONLINE image with a generated link, such as a dropbox link or other image hosting provider. This applies to both SMTP and Outlook.
  2. Embedding a local image when sending via outlook.
  3. Embedding a local image when sending via smtp.

Before proceeding make sure you are selected on the "HTML" email format!

Embedding an image via an online link:

To embed an image using an online link, place the cursor where you would like the image, click the "HTML" menu and select the "Insert Image" option.
By "Picture Source" paste the link (URL) to the image and press ok.

If your image was embedded correctly the picture should be visible in the body box.

Embedding an image when sending via outlook:

When sending an email via outlook, place the cursor where you would like the image, click the "HTML" menu and select the "Insert Image" option.
Select browse and choose the picture you would like and press ok.
Alternatively If you have your email already formatted in word, you can just copy and paste the image (and wording too).

If your image was embedded correctly the picture should be visible in the body box.

Embedding an image when sending via SMTP.

There are a few steps when sending via SMTP, please read the instructions carefully.

  1. Click "add attachment" and select the picture you wish to embed.
  2. Click the "Embed" option.
If your attachment has spaces in it, the program will ask you to make a temporary copy without spaces.

  3. Click copy code
  4. Go to "HTML code"
  5. Paste the code copied whereever you would like the picture to be added.
Note you can also set other img tags, for example Height and Width "
    <img align="baseline" alt="Image Details" src="path\to\image.png" border="0" hspace="0" height="530" width="410">"

Please note: The support team cannot assist with setting/layout/designing HTML emails, as it is not in our support scope.

  6. Click on the "HTML" option to check if your picture was added to the correct place.

If your image was embedded correctly the picture should be visible in the body box.

Tips and Additional information:

  • You can format your emails in word and then paste it into the program and it will keep all your styling.
  • When making complex HTML emails your can use an online HTML editor and then paste the code by "HTML Code".
  • Most email providers have a limit for attachment sizes / email size. If your images are too large the email may not be sent or received by the other party.
Therefore if you are attaching a few images it may be worth to upload the images to an online service.
  • In general, having attachments in emails will automatically make sending email a bit slower, due to the attachment having to upload to your email server.

Always test your email prior to emailing mass!!
