Abillity to query staff

Question

With the new way for entering staff we are unable to query the staff (specific teachers) the old way  we were able to query, please add it in tuition and fundraising.

Answer 1

To query staff do the following.

Go to Reports, Query, Generic.

By Choose Table (1) select Staff.  Choose Field (2) Select Period or what field you want to query on. Now choose the period (3). Click on Add (4). You can repeat steps 2,3 and 4 as many times as needed. (For example to query by location, class etc.).

After you are done adding the criteria choose Parent Query (5) and click on Include (6).

Its difficult to query by Generic.. is it possible to add a staff tab?

Also can the Choose Field  be fixed i should be able to type the field  (like Choose Table) ?

You can type in there. But only for a field that's in the table. If you follow the instructions above you can see that's its actually extremely simple. The last 10 query types added have only been added in this screen. Eventually all simple table queries will be done only in this screen. Only extra complex ones (like the one currently by the staff tab) will need a separate tab.
