We will, once we complete the changes in the system. There is still some bugs we need to work out with the gov.

You can test it now. Are you allowed to upload in the Roster Upload also siblings of your students in order to have a better chance of matching to a sibling?

First step. Run the roster upload report. If you upgrade you will have the report on top of the report list.

Enter your BEDS #, and choose Male or Female.

After the reports comes up use the Export To Text from the Report menu.

You can use that file to upload.

Added also the second part for you to test. After the roster upload is done and you get the results open up the results page. Click on copy in the corner.

Then go to Reports, Additional Info (1), Direct Cert (2), Enter the Type (3) and Period (4), Click on Create DB (5).

When done click on Paste Records (6).

When its complete click on Direct Cert (7).

At the Food program Seminar this Thursday, the State advised that it would be preferable and result in a higher participation rate, if a school that even has only part of their student roster with NYSIS id’s would use the NYSIS ID method for that population. In other words, for any students that took State testing the previous year and uploaded to a BOCES, there are NYSIS ID’s that can be downloaded. Therefore, I’m wondering if perhaps you can create an import for the NYSIS ID’s (downloaded from BOCES) as a student TYPE and VALUE and then the roster to be uploaded should exclude any students that we have an NYSIS ID for as they will be matched using the NYSIS ID method.

You can download that matches the same way. Just copy and paste.

Also the import for nysis ID already exists.

Thanks for the prompt response.

1. So we can copy and paste separately using both methods an then run the Direct cert after both methods were used?

2. Can you post instructions on how to import NYSIS ID's so that we have it as a student type and value? best would be if its imported using the Local ID method which is the BOCES ID.

Thanks,

Hi, Please advise on the above, as I spoke to support and they did not know of a way to import NYSIS Ids - not to be confused with the city NPSIS id.

Furthermore, when uploading the roster to NYSED, it clearly asks to first download the match that they did for our school based on the NYSIS ids of the students that they are aware we have from prior tests. please see the attached screen capture.

therefore, we are first supposed to get the info from them and only after their match, are we supposed to upload anyone they couldn’t match.

Please understand that yeshivas will not be able to submit the September Food reimbursement claim until this is done properly, time is of the essence.

Thanks,

Please provide a sample download or call in to support and give your user name and password. Did you try the roster upload? Do you have unmatched students that are matched the other way? Because if not you gain nothing for doing first the match except to save some time for the state.

This is the point, other than manual work, I don't know how to see if I have a match that they found but I didn't. I can email a sample of the download file. Please advise where to email.

So do some manual work and see if you find at least one. Dont think its going to happen.
