Can I schedule an automatic email of a mail merge file (in Excel) like a I can with a report?

Yes. First setup the mail merge file by the mail merge tab. Then by scheduled report by the column type choose Mail Merge from the drop down. In the next column choose which file you want to merge it with.

Can I just get the list emailed to me in Excel with the columns that I choose instead of actually merging the file into a document?

There is excel export options too. That would be the same as getting Export to Excel - Report Layout. There currently isn't any data only option.

This has now been added. You can choose CSV Data File as one of the File Types. Please Note: In order for the server to recognize this option, you would need to contact Tech Support to update your services on your server.
