Why can't word files used in attachments in JL be updated to a more current word document?

It looks quite unprofessional to be using such an outdated version of Microsoft Word when sending receipts as word files. I got into trouble when I updated attachments on my own, as your program doesn't support newer versions of Word...

JLS supports all versions of Office,

where did you get stuck with the newer version?

you didn't see it in the file list or you had trouble once you selected the file?

It was in the attachments folder, saved with the original file name. Trouble was once I tried attaching the linked receipt file

Call in to explain. Receipt can be sent it all formats. They are usually sent as pdf not as word documents.

I know this. When I need, for whatever reason, to generate a 'word' file receipt, it is in Word 97 format - my question was - how come JL has not updated their software so that the word files come up in a later format of 'word'.

The software supports all versions of word. Most probably your file is set to word 97. Call in to support and they can help you convert your file.
