Code 2 Issues

I find a few issues with code 2 accounts that I was wondering if can be addressed

  1. Phone numbers under the general tab should be pull from/into these accounts. This way if a child’s parents need to be contacted, its listed there. Therefore should be a code that its coming from code 2. Currently we list it again under this account, but this means that its two separate entries and can cause confusion if later married again with new husband/father cell.
  2. If a mother does not have her name listed under fathers name. then outlook synch does not synch with any name.
  3. If a mother does keep the last name and therefore has it listed under that father last name, it syncs with the last name only which creates confusion especially if the father cell is also listed separately on the code 2 account.

Please explain in more detail what you mean by 1. You have each of the phone numbers listed in their own account. No?

The last name by the fathers side needs to be filled in even if there is only a mother. Enter the mothers last name there.

Also if there isn't a fathers name or Ignore is checked it should sync to Outlook with the Mothers name.

  1. Ideally if the child’s parent needs to be contacted asap or if something comes up and the other parent’s cell number is not listed, the user typically forgets to check to see if the child is a code 2 child. Therefore, if a code 2 chiod would automatically pull in the contact info from the other parent it would be very helpful.
  2. When the last name is filled in, then in outlook synchronization, it only lists the last name. since outlook doesn’t list the spouse name only under additional features (perhaps this can be addressed as well, outlook should list the full account name). This issue gets even more exacerbated if one uses a smart phone to synch contacts with outlook.
  3. Because of number 2, I tried a code 2 parent to put the mothers last name in the fathers section and selected ignore, it still syncs using only the last name of the mother.

Regarding 2 3and 3 try updating to latest version and check. When I tested it did show the correct info.

Regarding 1 I don't really think that all Code2 info should be displayed by the account 1 because there is a code 2.  You should train your users that there are certain children that have a code2 account or add it as a popup note each time you enter the account.

I have the latest version and still have issue 2&3.

In regards to issue 1, I hear what you’re saying, although I don’t see an issue if it would pull in italic and have on a column that its coming from code 2 and actually list which code 2 if it that it would be a problem.

It’s one thing to train users to do things a certain way. But at the end of the day, software is meant to make users work as seamless as possible and when there are emergencies that a child’s parent needs to be contacted asap for whatever reason, there isn’t always time to check why said child doesn’t have a father’s cell, if its because the father doesn’t have a cell phone or if it’s because the child is a code 2 child.

Please call in to confirm you do have the latest version. It is working on our end here.

Also the big issue with showing wrong info specially in code2 situations is the user will address the person with the wrong name. Or release a child to the wrong parent.
