I did enter end date-but 'pink' line (which usually indicated CURRENT students) in PERIOD tab did not change color

Pink line only means that that row is from the current period. It has nothing to do if the student is current.

 

In the future you do not need to create a new question. You can just continue in the old thread.

when I look at student, though there is an end date on top, the 'PERIOD' line is still pink - a bit confusing - please change to a different color so we know that student left (during the year)--thank you.
