Is there a option to split a payment

lets say entering a check amount of $1000 and want to split the payment in 2 $500 day camp $500 tuition ?

Sure. As long as both charges are in the same company. (Each company means a separate financial file that cannot be mixed, like 2 QuickBooks files).
