Entering an incorrect credit card number combination

Question

Sometime when listing to the person that give us his card number it can happen that you miss one number or entering a wrong number instead, than it comes up “invalid credit card number” and the number gets cleared and need to ask again for the full number

Possible that if I’m still on the same line, then the number should not be removed and can repeat the number to the person so we can find the number mistake faster?
