Dedications: can we have an option to lock the price even if changing the detail?

We have an issue by dedications, the charge price is changing after updating other fields, even after having applied a payment to that charge, can the price be locked by default once it is created or confirm the price change? it is creating unnecessary headaches, as we sent out invoices, even though the person paid the agreed upon price, there is already such a feature at the charges tab when editing the ItemNum. thank you

any update on this? this would greatly reduce errors in the billing
