Make a user read only

I would like to make it impossible for certain users to change any information on the general info tab for members. Especially things like names!

Why not remove the rights to see that tab? The name info also comes up by all info and on top.

because not all information appears on that tab.

• additional addresses
• active vs not active
• occupation
• maiden name

you can also create a report and just give rights to reports, or add that report to print menu in account.

The fundraiser looks up names in the entire database and calls people for hours daily. I don't see reports as a practical alternative.
