Record "thank you" letters generated using the receipts feature.

Question

When we use "receipts" in Fundraising to send thank you letters, how can we track which template "letter" was used (even if it changes later)?

Can we save the final letter generated to each person's account?

Please explain. Why would you change the template letter after the receipt is already sent??

Good question.

For example, we might initially set it to "NIRC" to print a receipt. We might then change it to a thank-you letter for a particular fundraiser. At the end of the year, we might set it to "year-end receipt" to send a list of all the donations for the year.

We had a question if a letter had been sent for a particular donation and it had been changed to a year-end receipt.
