Looks like with a recent update that standard users lost the ability to view attachments on students, even though they have this right.

Any user will be able to add a new attachment. Need Delete rights to delete or overwrite. Need view rights to view.

Thanks for the fix. But any attachments from two years and prior, the users can still not view.

For every type of attachment the view right is needed in order to view. Please ask the administrator to give the view rights for the type you want.

So if they are highly sensitive attachments this option would not be secure enough as you mentioned in a diffrent post, or that has changed since your last post ?

Same. It can still be viewed directly in the folder without our software.

Those old attachments types don't show up in the user rights to be able assign permissions to.

tried that and it only added recently created Attachment Types. However, old attachment types from 2 years ago are not listed to be able to assign rights to. (i Think the reason might be because every year we ammend the name of the attachment types. i.e. Contract set 14-15 is not Contract set 16-17. This way the pull down list isn't overly populated).

Correct the rights only look at the list of the attachment types not on what you entered in the attachment screen. In this case you would need to add it back to the list to be able to give rights.

Can you add that even its not in the drop down list i should be able to give user rights or it should be hidden option for the drop down list (we don't need from all previous years).
