Can we have Period column included in payment tab in reports for filtering purposes?

Payments do not apply to a period. A payment can apply to multiple period. If you are looking to see a list of payments that apply to certain charges you can fill out the info in the charges tab and check in the Linked to Charges check box. But this will give you the complete payments. To view partial payments that are applied to a period you would need a custom report. Standard payment reports show one full payment per row.
