You can watch this short tutorial that will show how to set something like this up. The report is customized by us for each school based on what info you want to collect. The word document that's sent is setup by the school.

First of all, I want to comment that based on the tutorial this will be a huge improvement from the way things were done till now. Thanks very much for this update.


However, in order to make the process seamless and without any duplicate work, please advise:


  1. Can the applicant report work by date, so that if a list of applicants was printed say January 1 for the menahel and then Feb 1 he wants a list of new applicants, can we track by date entered so that he doesn’t get the same children over and over?

  2. Is there any way to have a mark as printed feature or better a flag that gets generated when the mail merge document gets issued, so that when the next batch goes out, the kids on the previous batch don’t get re-printed?

Both options are available for the report. This isnt actually a new feature. We are just highlighting an existing feature that is underused.

What period should the applicant program be entered as? I.e. For applicants of next year but being entered now, should the program be 16-17 or being that is being entered now, should be 15-16?

Can you add user rights to this program so that only appropriate users can view and edit status?

You can add user right to view only for the whole grid.

Only if you remove the rights to the Additional Info and General Info tabs.

But that would preclude these fromseeing other important fields that they use.

Can you please add a feature to be able to block  from viewing the "additional info" tab under the main children tab and also to be able to block the "student" tab under the main "Add. Info" tab. It will help with keeping the applicant details  closed to those that don't need that info.

After I have all applicants, is it possible to mass update them into the regular period?

It would be a great option to add because I am really looking forward of keeping track of all applicant in JL, however if I would then need to enter the applicants again by Periods, it would be a much longer process then till now.

Thanks, This Feature is very helpful

I see when a user enter any of these fields in the student tab it dosent come up by the additional info the username enterd

No. You can simply go to period and add the correct info.
